Abstract: This document is a report of a study into the feasibility of parallel computing for numerical weather prediction programs carried into excution on a Transputer network. Three different parallel schemes are presented using the diffusion equations with two and four orders. The results provide the basis for implementation of the numerical weather prediction model on Transputer parallel computer.
