To uphold scientific integrity and maintain the purity of the academic environment, Journal of Applied Meteorological Science will retract papers that have been found, upon investigation, to contain fabricated or falsified data, plagiarism, violations of research ethics, or other serious errors. This policy is based on the "Interim Provisions on the Handling of Misconduct in Scientific and Technological Activities", issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China in 2020 (Order No. 19).

1. Retraction Request and Decision

Retraction requests can be initiated by either the authors or the editorial office. The final decision rests with the editorial committee.

2. Review Process

1) Submission of Retraction Request: Retraction can be proposed by the editorial office or the authors. If initiated by the authors, a retraction request form must be completed, stating the reasons for retraction, and signed by all authors. The original signed form must be sent to the editorial office.

2) Editorial Committee Review: The editorial office will submit the relevant materials to the editorial committee for review and resolution.

3) Notification of Results: The decision will be promptly communicated to all authors.

3. Retraction Statement

A retraction statement must be promptly issued for retracted papers. The publication of the retraction statement should not be delayed due to author disagreement, and in necessary cases, author consent is not required.

The retraction statement will be published in both the print and electronic versions of the journal and listed on the contents page of the issue. The electronic version of the paper will be removed from the journal's website, and a retraction notice will be sent to relevant databases to retract all data and information related to the paper.

4. Additional Provisions

1) Publication fees already paid will not be refunded. Authors may be held accountable for significant losses caused to the journal.

2) In cases of serious misconduct, the journal will not accept papers authored by the individuals involved (not limited to first authors) for a period of five years.

3) Any objections can be submitted in writing to the editorial office.

4) This policy is interpreted by the editorial committee and will be implemented from the date of publication.
