To promote high-quality development in meteorology, facilitate the application and transformation of scientific achievements, enhance talent cultivation and academic exchange, and encourage scholars to publish high-quality academic papers in Journal of Applied Meteorological Science, the editorial office organizes an annual selection of excellent papers. This initiative aims to further increase the journal's influence and strengthen its leading role in the atmospheric science field.

1. Scope of Selection

All research papers published in Journal of Applied Meteorological Science within the year are eligible for selection. Generally, no more than 10% of the total annual publications will be selected as excellent papers.

2. Selection Criteria

(1) The paper should address major needs of the meteorological science development strategy or significant issues that urgently require solutions in atmospheric science.

(2) The paper should possess high academic or practical value and demonstrate outstanding originality.

3. Selection Procedure

The selection process involves recommendations from peer reviewers and responsible editorial committee members. The final decision is made collectively by the standing committee of the editorial committee.

4. Awards

(1) Authors of excellent papers will receive an honorary certificate and a one-time monetary reward of CNY 2000.

(2) The selected papers will be prominently featured on the journal's website and official WeChat account.

5. Supplementary Provisions

These guidelines are interpreted by the Editorial Office of Journal of Applied Meteorological Science and will be implemented from the date of publication.
