华南地区中尺度对流性云团
Investigation of Mesoscale Convective Cloud Cluster in South China

摘要: 本文运用1980—1988年4—10月短时间间隔的GMS云图和常规气象资料,在我国华南地区共普查出176个中尺度对流性云团。根据云团面积大小分成三类,分别统计和分析了它们的特征。总结出了云团发生、发展的两个模型,并对两个典型例子作了简要分析和讨论。所得结果表明:中尺度对流性云团是华南地区中尺度强对流系统的主要成员;近地面层的风场和水汽场的辐合及地形强迫,是云团发生的主要机制;低空急流和季风云涌是云团发展的最重要因子。Abstract: The statistical characteristics of 176 mesoscale convective cloud clusters in South China, which are classified into three types in terms of their size, are analysed based on the short interval GMS images and conventional data during April-October, 1980-1988. Two composite model charts are presented for their formation and development, and two typical cases are studied. Some conclusions can be drawn as follows: ① Mesoscale convective cloud cluster is a major menmber of severe mesoscale convective systems in South China. ② The convergences of wind and moisture fields in the surface layer and orographic forcing are the trigger mechanism for the genesis of cloud clusters. ③ Low-level jet and monsoon cloud swell are the most important factors for the development of cloud clusters
