Abstract: A real time processing method for geostationary meteorological satellite image data were developed by hardware. With the help of the method, the zooming, enhancing, compositing, and mapping of geostationary meteorological satellite image can be completed under the condition of lack of computer system. Also, the image can be output from the facsimile machine. This method has been used in the GMS satellite stretched VISSR image receiving and processing system developed by authors.
